At drupa 2008 we have showed SPEEDTURNER® the new generation of pile turner based on the well known SWH series. These machines have a faster and more automated working sequence with
- a 20 % faster turning cycle
- an automated start and stop of the pile airing including jogging in the airing position
The new SPEEDTURNER® SWH series with airing is available up to a maximum sheet size of 1220 x 1650 mm and is equipped with a hydraulic pump achieving a higher output which results in a 20 % faster turning cycle. Freshly aired piles tend to shift when reaching the stop point of the lowering motion. An integrated dampener in the hydraulic system prevents this affect, but does not reduce the turning speed.
The electrical control is equipped with a Siemens PLC enabling the airing and jogging of the pile to start automatically. The number times the air jets travel under the pile is selectable and preadjustable; the airing and jogging process is stopped automatically so that the presence of the operator is not necessary during the airing-jogging sequence.
The side channel blowers integrated in the machine body take the conditioned air from the pressroom through air slots incorporated in the machine body. The SPEEDTURNER® handles an increased pile weight - up to 1200 kg in the 3B format (72x105 cm).
The low priced ‘Economy’ series SE with airing is also now equipped with a Siemens PLC and adjustable air jet speed at the control desk (frequency converter), both as standard features.
The Siemens PLC facilitates troubleshooting by means of the status indicator on the PLC display.
